The codebase index records which function calls which, so a pass can carry the function on each side of a call between two large files instead of carrying neither. Measured on a 348-file codebase: 108 related pairs were out of reach at any number of passes and 32 are now, with the other 76 examined for eight extra passes out of 109. What is still out of reach is named with its reason, per pair.
