It had worked since 7.1.3 and was documented in the release notes, but the usage text listed only two of the three flags it accepts, which is the one place an operator would look for it. 7.1.3 and 7.1.4 were built and gated and never published; their entries are kept rather than folded into this one, because a changelog that quietly renumbers its own history is worth less than one with two extra headings in it.
